Developmental Behavioral Diagnosis and Management in Pediatrics
SDBP and NAPNAP (National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners) are teaming up to provide a one-day special symposium just prior to the SDBP Annual Meeting on Friday, September 14, 2018 in Anaheim, CA.
This full day intensive workshop is ideal for pediatric primary care providers, those preparing to make the transition into DB Peds specialty care and those working in DB Peds. There are two 4-hour cases that will cover autism versus global developmental delay in a younger child, and ADHD versus mood disorder or learning disability in a teen.
Schedule: Friday, September 14th 8:00am to 5:00pm
8:00am - 12:00pm Case Study: Younger child with developmental delays, including expressive/receptive language delay
12:00pm - 1:00pm Lunch on own
1:00pm - 5:00pm Case Study: Teenager - Poorly-controlled ADHD, anxiety, school failure
Spend your day learning from two teams of three faculty members including, a nurse practitioner, developmental behavioral pediatrician and psychologist. The teams will walk the participants through the two engaging case studies, each addressing a unique diagnosis, both designed to review the diagnostic presentation and appropriate assessment tools, formulation of diagnosis with interpretation of developmental and behavioral assessment measures, treatment options including psychopharmacology, family support and ongoing monitoring of a child with multiple common developmental and behavioral concerns.
